What it really costs to register a company
Most registration sites quote a professional fee and leave the rest for later. Government fees, stamp duty and GST land on the invoice after you have signed up, and together they are often larger than the fee itself. This page adds them up before you start, by state and by capital, so the figure you plan with is close to the figure you pay.

How the estimate is built
- Professional fee: fixed, taken from our price list for the entity you choose. GST at 18 percent applies to this and to any add-on service.
- Digital signature certificate: one per director or designated partner who does not already hold a valid class 3 signature. Priced per person, valid for two years.
- DIN: SPICe+ allots a DIN to up to three directors at no separate fee. Directors beyond that apply through DIR-3. For an LLP, FiLLiP allots DPIN to up to five designated partners.
- Name reservation: SPICe+ Part A for companies, RUN-LLP for an LLP. Two proposed names per application.
- MCA filing fee: nil for authorised capital up to Rs. 15 lakh, then a charge for every lakh above it. An LLP pays a slab fee based on contribution.
- Stamp duty: set by the state of the registered office and charged on the SPICe+ form, the memorandum and the articles. Many states charge the articles as a percent of authorised capital with a floor and a cap. An LLP pays stamp duty on the LLP agreement instead, estimated at 1 percent of contribution.
- PAN and TAN: applied with the incorporation form at the standard fee.
- GST: 18 percent on professional fees only. Government fees and stamp duty carry no GST.

Questions
Why do other sites show a lower price?
Most quote the professional fee alone and add government fees, stamp duty and GST after you sign up. Those amounts are often larger than the fee itself. This tool adds every line up front so you can compare on the all-in figure, not the headline.
Can the government fees change after I sign up?
They can move if a state revises its stamp schedule, if you change the authorised capital, or if the number of directors changes. We confirm every government line before filing and show you the difference before we spend a rupee of it.
What happens above Rs. 15 lakh of authorised capital?
MCA starts charging a filing fee for every lakh above Rs. 15 lakh, and in many states the stamp duty on the articles is a percent of authorised capital. Use the capital field to see both lines move. You can always start at Rs. 1 lakh and raise the capital later.
Does every director need a DSC?
Yes. Every subscriber and director signs the incorporation forms digitally, so each needs a valid class 3 signature. If someone already holds one, enter it under existing DSC and the line drops.
